ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Siobhan, here is a little info on myself and why I started Bradshaw Equine Sports & Rehabilitation Massage.

I have grown up with horses and have 37 year’s experience. Having always had my horses on DIY, I have dealt with all areas of horses – the good, the bad and the ugly! I have assisted vets, farriers, dentists, therapists, saddle fitters, the list goes on. Each one has inspired me and led me to further develop my knowledge and skills.

My family have had all sorts of horses, from miniature Shetlands to Warmbloods, from rescues and rehoming to riding horses and ages from under a year to the current oldest retiree at 29, and they stay with us until their last days. Each horse has taught me a lot and every challenge has encouraged me to look at the bigger picture in order to help and understand the horse.

I am currently bringing on my young Spanish horse who has had several issues that were resolved by massage therapy. This treatment was the only thing which made a difference to my horse and pushed me to study and qualify in equine massage and rehabilitation therapy.

I studied with Wolds Equine which was an intense course studying not only massage, rehabilitation techniques and stretches, but also the anatomy of the horse, muscles, bones, origins and insertions, gaits, conformation and internal systems of the horse. It completely opened my mind and I now see the whole picture with each horse. Along with practical days training, exams, assessments and case studies, I qualified with distinction and I continue to complete CPD days and courses to ensure I provide the best possible services for you and your horse.
