Payment must be made prior to the appointment (cash on the day or bank transfer in advance). If payment is not made, treatment will not commence. Payment after the appointment is unfortunately not an option so please ensure you have cash on the day if this is your preferred method of payment. Failure to pay on the day will result in no treatment commencing.

Please ensure your horse is dry and clean prior to my arrival. If upon arrival, the horse is not clean and dry meaning I am unable to treat as planned, the full cost of treatment is due.

If you have any concerns re your horse’s behaviour, please discuss this with me in advance of booking your appointment. It is in your best interest, as well as mine and your horse’s, that you be honest so that I can determine the best way to treat your horse. If upon initial assessment, the horse is too dangerous to treat, 25% of the full treatment cost is due.

If your horse is currently in good health, veterinary consent is not required for me to treat your horse however, I will ask for details of the practice your horse is registered with and they will need to be informed of any contraindications or major issues identified during assessment or treatment.

If your horse is currently under veterinary supervision, I will need veterinary permission prior to treating your horse (under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966). This can be obtained either by you confirming with your horse’s vet that they are happy for the horse to be treated and I will require your signature on the day of treatment stating that your vet is happy for me to treat your horse. Alternatively, I am happy to speak to your vet direct to obtain permission on your behalf and discuss the case with your vet. I am also happy to provide your vet with a completed treatment form following the appointment if this is required.

I specialise in the horse’s muscular structure and am not a vet – I will direct you to your vet upon first contact if I feel this is necessary, and should I deem the horse needs veterinary treatment upon my arrival to your appointment, 25% of the cost of treatment will still be payable, or you can choose to pay 50% and to have 25% off your next appointment after the vet has been and if you would still like a treatment.

Cancellation Policy

On occasions, you may need to cancel your appointment at short notice, please give me as much notice as possible in these circumstances. If you need to re-arrange your appointment, cancellation details are below:

-       Cancellation less than 24 hours before appointment – full treatment cost due that day.

-       Cancellation less than 48 hours before appointment – half treatment cost due on day of cancellation.

-       Cancellation more than 48 hours before appointment – no charge.
